SINGAPORE, 04 Feb, 2020 – In view of an unexpected spike in demand for its Isopropyl Alcohol 70% (Disinfectant)[1] 2 caused by the recent outbreak of the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-cCoV) and following the National Environment Agency’s release of an interim guide3 4 on cleaning homes with disinfectants containing at least 60% alcohol content, Best Chemical Co (S) Pte Ltd (‘BestChem’) announced it will open up the sale of its Isopropyl Alcohol 70% (Disinfectant) in 1-liter and 4-liter packaging/bottles to the public on a walk-in basis only from Thursday, 06 February 2020 between 11.30am to 5.30pm at 60 Senoko Road Singapore 758124, while stocks last.

BestChem earlier announced that due to overwhelming demand for its Isopropyl Alcohol 70% (Disinfectant), it will no longer be accepting anymore online orders via its E-shop and/or any other online platforms, including Qoo10, Carousell , Shopee and Lazada, until further notice. “To ensure all our orders are fulfilled promptly, we had to make the very difficult decision to stop accepting any online orders for Isopropyl Alcohol 70% (Disinfectant) from last week,” said Mr Johnny Wong, Managing Director at
BestChem.

“To ensure as many Singaporeans continue to have access to disinfectants as needed and as quickly as possible, we will be opening up the sale of Isopropyl Alcohol 70% (Disinfectant) in 1-liter and 4-liter bottles later this week,” he said. “As extended waiting time may be expected, we seek the understanding of members of the public and would like to thank our customers for their patience and support.” Each person will be able to purchase up to 20 liters of Isopropyl Alcohol 70% (Disinfectant). Both the 1-liter and 4-liter bottles will be available for sale at S$18.00 and S$40.00 respectively (before GST). Only NETS payment will be accepted for all walk-in purchases.
