Ethanol is a volatile, flammable, colorless liquid with a slight chemical odor. It is used as a solvent, a fuel, and due to its low freezing point, the active fluid in many alcohol thermometers. Ethanol is miscible with water and is a good general purpose solvent. It is found in paints, tinctures and markers.
A variety of denaturants are used for blending with ethanol, the most suitable denaturant would depend on your intended purpose.
Most ethanol or commonly known as denatured ethanol contains denaturants (such as methanol and isopropyl alcohol) which makes it taste bad or toxic to make it unfit for human consumption
Caution: It is not suitable for the use in manufacturing of medical wipes, hand sanitizer gels and aromatic blending such as perfumes, colognes, cosmetics, deodorant and room or car freshener.
