Monopropylene Glycol (MPG) is a viscous, colorless liquid, which is nearly odorless but possesses a faintly sweet taste. It is a hygroscopic liquid and miscible in water, alcohols, and most organic solvents. MPG is commonly used as an antifreeze that helps to keep cooling systems free-flowing and clear of icy build-up during cold weather conditions as well as preventing any issues with over-heating. It can be used as a coolant, lubricant, insulator for electrical installation, and preservative agent.
